Katie Shapiro is the principal of Katie Shapiro Media, a media boutique specializing in publicity for films and film festivals. Current and past clients include: Rolling Papers (Directed by Mitch Dickman, in production), The Syndrome (Directed by Meryl Goldsmith, 2014), Code Black (Directed by Ryan McGarry, 2014), Hanna Ranch (Directed by Mitch Dickman, 2012), The Lost Bird Project (Directed by Deborah Dickson, 2012), Aspen Film, Stanley Film Festival, Starz Denver Film Festival and Women+Film Voices Film Festival. In 2010, Katie co-founded the first official young patrons extension of the Denver Film Society, Reel Social Club, and sits on the DFS’ board of directors. She previously worked for Denver Magazine as the Director of Public Relations and as a lifestyle public relations executive in New York City. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in business from Miami University (Oxford, OH) and a Master’s degree in journalism from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
